Funeral services will be held this afternon at the Chastain funeral home for Sarah Frances Davis, who died at ther home here Tuesday morning. Death was attributed to heart failure. She had been ill over a period of about 10 months. Burial will be made in Roachdale cemetery. Mrs. Davis was a lifelong resident of Roachdale and was born near here June 15, 1857, the daughter of Samuel F. and Elizabeth Ruth Batman. She was married December 2, 1879, to Elkannah Thompson at Greencastle. Surviving are one son Earnest Thompson of this place; a daughter in law; a son in law; two granddaughters: Mrs. Lanville Young of Kokomo, and Mrs. Rexford Beck of Burns City, and one great granddaughter Sarah Young of Kokomo. One son Fred Thompson and one daughter Mrs. Earl Allen preceded her in death.
